The Barnes-Frost House in Marion section of Southington, Connecticut, was built in 1795. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.[1]
It was included as a contributing building in the Marion Historic District.
The house is significant in part as it is a preserved example of Colonial architecture, and also because it was home of the Barnes and Frost families.[2]
The house was covered in a 1985-1988 Multiple Property Submission study of the 25 colonial houses of Southington. It is noted in that study that the house shows a "high-style Federal embellishment", namely a "diamond and ellipse frieze band pattern".[3]:6
